The war between Athens and Sparta began 2,400 years ago and lasted nearly 30 years. But wars have continued ever since and the dynamics of conflict have changed little.

Thucydides wrote his history to warn future generations of the inhumanities and deceits of war and his message is as powerful today as when it was written.

Can we ever learn from history to change our present, and what insights can drama provide into the eternal truths of human nature and conflict?
